Well, 2015 sure was a fun & interesting year! I am grateful that I had so many wonderful people who cheered me on and continue to do so. And that’s what I wanted to reflect in this year’s New Year’s card image. And I wanted to let those people know that I’m cheering them on as well.

I became a bit obsessed the first half of the year to finish up my latest short animation, Some Days Are Bug Days. You can read all about the process in this series of posts. And this work was even featured on Toon Boom! So cool! Here’s the trailer for it.

The second half of the year, I’ve been fortunate to have it find a home at some really great and fun film festivals.  It has screened at the World Animation Celebration, the Cucalorus Film Festival (click the link here to see about my great trip there), and the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival. This year it’s already slated to screen at the Maryland International Kids FilmFest and will hopefully find a home at even more great film festivals.

And as if all that wasn’t awesome enough, the Kansas City Royals not only made it to the World Series for the second year in a row, they won it this time! And I have never felt more Royal.

Thanks for the great and memorable 2015 and all of the support you have given to me. I so appreciate it! I look forward to another great year in 2016! My next short animation is coming up for the series Lessons From Exes … so be on the lookout!
