I do love to take a walk every day I can and it’s a bonus if the weather will allow me to take a walk outside. It’s great exercise, a great mental break and it gets me away from screens for a bit. These podcasts have been great listens during these walks and I highly recommend them.

Drawn, The Story of Animation

Drawn, The Story of Animation

This is a superbly well done limited series podcast about the history, process and people of animation. At only 12 episodes long, it is well worth the listen. It’s one I’ve listened to more than once and will probably listen to again.

This is a great podcast by Giuseppe Castellano, a former children’s book art director, where he interviews folks in the illustration industry about their work and careers. While these are interviews they feel a lot more like friendly conversations.

I don’t know how I came upon this podcast, but I love that I did! And it’s a bonus that these podcasters are from right here in Kansas City. These two ladies, Becket Graham and Susan Vollenweider, talk about women in history and it feels like your just sitting in on a talk with your friends. Can’t recommend this podcast enough.

And Nothing Less

And Nothing Less: The Untold Stories of Women’s Fight for the Vote

This podcast is a limited series produced by the U.S. National Park Service and hosted by Rosario Dawson and Retta. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and women’s constitutional right to vote. I think Leslie Knope would be proud of this podcast. At only 8 episodes long, it is well worth the listen.
